ACL Bearings 6B1160-020 Connecting Rod Bearing Set .020 Undersize

The ACL Bearings 6B1160-020 is a high-performance connecting rod bearing set designed with .020 inch undersize dimensions for precision-machined crankshafts. Part of ACL's renowned Race Series lineup, these tri-metal engine bearings are engineered to deliver exceptional durability and performance in demanding applications.

Advanced Tri-Metal Construction:

• High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for superior fatigue resistance
• Hardened steel backing improves bearing support and retention in the housing
• Optimized bearing lining for enhanced load-carrying capacity
• Tri-metal design provides excellent seizure resistance and lower friction

Performance Engineering Features:

• Increased eccentricity compensates for bore distortion at high RPM
• Enlarged ID chamfers accommodate performance crankshafts with larger fillet radii
• Enhanced heat dissipation through elimination of flash plating on bearing backs
• Micron-accurate machining ensures consistent wall thickness and proper crush
• Designed to withstand higher RPM conditions and extreme loads

Racing Heritage:

ACL Race Series bearings are trusted components in championship-winning race engines across multiple motorsports disciplines, from sport compact drift racing to NASCAR, IHRA, and NHRA competitions. With over 70 years of manufacturing expertise, ACL combines advanced metallurgy with precision engineering to deliver bearings that perform where others cannot.

This connecting rod bearing set features .020 inch (.50mm) undersize dimensions for crankshafts that have been reground or machined to restore proper clearances. Ideal for engine rebuilds, performance builds, and racing applications requiring maximum reliability under extreme conditions.
