Cusco 6A1 047 R Steel Drive Shaft Heat Shield Rear Left Side

The Cusco 6A1 047 R is a steel drive shaft heat shield designed to protect the rear driveshaft from excessive exhaust heat during aggressive driving conditions. This heat shield mounts to the rear left side (passenger side) and provides a critical thermal barrier between the exhaust system and the driveshaft assembly.

Key Features:

• Steel construction for durability and effective heat deflection
• Bolt-on installation with no modifications required
• Reduces heat transfer from exhaust to driveshaft and CV joints
• Prevents grease breakdown in driveshaft boots during extended track use
• Protects inner CV joints from heat-related damage
• Increases driveshaft longevity and reliability
• Rear axle shaft coverage for targeted protection

During extended periods of high-performance driving or racing, exhaust heat can transfer to the driveshaft assembly, causing the protective grease inside the CV joint boots to break down prematurely. This heat shield creates a barrier that minimizes this heat transfer, maintaining proper lubrication properties and extending the service life of critical drivetrain components.
