WeatherTech 51EJ312 TN TechFloor Expansion Joint 3 In. x 12 In. Tan - 10 Pack

The WeatherTech TechFloor Expansion Joint (51EJ312 TN) is a purpose-built flooring accessory designed to keep your TechFloor garage tile installation stable and flat in areas subject to temperature fluctuation. Sold in a pack of 10, these 3 in. x 12 in. tan-colored joints integrate seamlessly into your TechFloor layout, replacing a standard section of tile while giving the overall floor room to move without warping or buckling.

Just like the expansion joints engineered into bridges and roads, these joints allow the surrounding tiles to compress or expand in response to changing ambient temperatures — accommodating up to 3/8 inch of movement per joint. They are especially important in areas exposed to direct sunlight, such as near garage door openings.

Key Features:

• Engineered to maintain floor structure in non-thermally stable environments
• Compresses or expands up to 3/8 inch to prevent buckling and tenting
• Compatible with WeatherTech TechFloor Premium Traction Square and Solid Raised Square tiles
• Loop-and-tab attachment system locks into adjacent tiles for a seamless appearance
• Each joint measures 3 in. x 12 in. — four joints equal the footprint of one standard 12 in. x 12 in. tile
• Recommended placement every 5–7 feet depending on sunlight exposure
• No cutting required for a precise fit
• Tan color coordinates with TechFloor tile color options
• Sold in a pack of 10
• Proudly engineered and manufactured in the USA
• Backed by a limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship

For installations in areas with direct sunlight exposure, a minimum strip depth of 3–4 feet is recommended. If your TechFloor is installed in a shaded interior space with no direct sunlight, expansion joints may not be required. These joints are a custom order item and are non-returnable.
