WeatherTech 51EJ312RD TechFloor Expansion Joint 3 in. x 12 in. Red 10-Pack

The WeatherTech TechFloor Expansion Joint (3 in. x 12 in.) is an essential accessory for any TechFloor garage tile installation in areas subject to temperature fluctuations or direct sunlight. Engineered to keep your modular floor stable, these joints accommodate the natural thermal movement of plastic floor tiles—preventing buckling and maintaining a flat, professional-looking surface over time.

Just like the expansion joints used in bridges and roads, these strips are designed to compress or expand as conditions change. Each joint is engineered to allow up to 3/8 inch of expansion or contraction, giving your floor the flex it needs without compromising structural integrity.

Key Features:

• Designed specifically for use with WeatherTech TechFloor garage floor tiles
• Prevents floor buckling in non-thermally stable environments such as areas exposed to direct sunlight
• Allows up to 3/8 inch of expansion or contraction per joint
• Each joint replaces a 3 in. x 12 in. section of the floor (4 joints equal the footprint of one 12 in. x 12 in. tile)
• Recommended placement every 5 to 7 feet, depending on sunlight exposure
• Loop-and-tab attachment system integrates seamlessly with TechFloor tiles—no cutting required
• Available in Red to match or contrast with your TechFloor tile color scheme
• Pack of 10 joints
• Made in the USA
• Backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship

These expansion joints are recommended for any TechFloor installation exposed to direct sunlight. Strips should be placed every 5 to 7 feet, with a minimum depth of 3 to 4 feet per run. If your TechFloor is installed in a fully climate-controlled, sunlight-free space, expansion joints may not be required. The bold Red colorway can be used functionally or as a design accent to create a custom look in your garage, shop, or workspace.
