WeatherTech 51EJ312 DG TechFloor Expansion Joint 3 in. x 12 in. Dark Gray 10-Pack

The WeatherTech TechFloor 51EJ312 DG Expansion Joint is an essential accessory for any TechFloor garage tile installation exposed to direct sunlight or temperature fluctuations. Engineered specifically for use with WeatherTech TechFloor Premium Traction Square and Solid Raised Square tiles, these dark gray expansion joints prevent buckling and warping by allowing the floor to naturally compress and expand with changing temperatures — the same principle used in bridge and road construction.

Key Features:

• Engineered to maintain floor structure in non-thermally stable environments, including areas exposed to direct sunlight
• Allows up to 3/8 inch of expansion or contraction to prevent buckling
• Loop-and-tab interlocking attachment system connects seamlessly to existing TechFloor tiles — no cutting required
• Each joint measures 3 in. x 12 in. and replaces a matching section of the floor (4 joints equal the footprint of one standard 12 in. x 12 in. tile)
• Recommended placement every 5 to 7 feet depending on direct sunlight exposure; a minimum strip depth of 3 to 4 feet is advised
• Not required for installations in areas with no direct sunlight exposure
• Available in Dark Gray to coordinate or contrast with TechFloor tile colors for a custom look
• Proudly engineered and manufactured in the USA
• Backed by a Limited Lifetime Guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship for the original purchaser

This listing includes a pack of 10 expansion joints. WeatherTech TechFloor expansion joints are compatible with the full TechFloor modular flooring system and are ideal for garages, workshops, basements, and other spaces where plastic floor tiles are used.
