The COMP Cams GP990 is an extreme-application dual valve spring kit built specifically for modified Briggs & Stratton Animal class small engines. Featuring the proven GP960 dual valve springs, this complete kit delivers the elevated seat pressure and valve train stability demanded by high-lift, high-rpm modified engine builds.

Engineered as part of COMP Cams' COMPGoParts GoParts Elite Race line, the GP990 kit pairs dual-wound springs manufactured from Chrome Silicon spring steel wire with matched retainers and hardware, providing a fully assembled valvetrain solution for engine builders focused on maximum performance and reliability.

Key Features:

• Designed for modified Briggs & Stratton Animal class OHV engines
• GP960 dual valve springs support up to .450" valve lift
• Chrome Silicon spring steel wire construction for superior strength and fatigue resistance
• Complete kit includes dual valve springs, lower retainers, and upper shim/hardware set
• Compatible with SI aluminum and titanium dual spring retainers
• Delivers increased seat pressure compared to WKA-legal spring kits for modified applications
• Manufactured to COMP Cams' rigorous quality control standards

The GP990 is the go-to dual valve spring kit for builders competing in modified Animal class karting and small engine racing where higher valve lift and increased spring pressure are required beyond WKA-legal specifications. UPC: 036584120414.
