Supertech recognizes that every engine has unique demands, which is why their valves are offered in multiple material grades to suit a wide range of applications:

Materials & Construction:

• Stainless Steel (EV8 / 21-4N Alloy): One-piece forged construction for superior strength and reliability. EV8 (21-4N) is the primary alloy used for both intake and exhaust valves, with additional alloy options and heat treatments available for specialized applications.
• Inconel 751 Nickel-Base Alloy: Used for exhaust valves in high-heat environments, such as turbocharged or supercharged engines where extreme temperatures demand the highest level of heat resistance.

Protective Coatings:

• Chrome Coating: A proven surface treatment widely used in performance valve applications to enhance wear resistance.
• Black Nitride Treatment: A hardening process that produces a smoother surface finish than chrome, reducing friction between the valve stem and guide for improved longevity and performance.
