Product Details

The Supertech Performance HIVN-1021F is a +0.5mm oversize, flat-face, black nitrided stainless steel intake valve engineered for high-performance Honda and Acura K-series engines. With a 35.50mm head diameter, 5.48mm stem diameter, and 108.85mm overall length, this valve is built to exacting tolerances for demanding race and street performance applications.

Each valve is one-piece forged from a high-temperature, high-nickel EV8 (21-4N) stainless steel alloy—delivering superior strength and reliability over multi-piece designs. Following forging, every valve undergoes multiple steps of heat treatment and shot peening before being CNC finished and hand polished to strict dimensional tolerances.

Black Nitride Coating Advantages:

  • Surface microhardness exceeds the stainless steel base material (800HV minimum), while maintaining good ductility beneath the hardened layer
  • Smoother stem finish compared to chrome-coated valves, resulting in reduced friction between stem and guide
  • Hardened valve seat surface offers extended durability with lead-free fuels, alcohols, nitro, and other aggressive fuel mixtures
  • Single groove design for secure retainer fitment
