The Supertech Performance BMIVN-1040 is a high-performance intake valve engineered for the BMW S54 engine. Manufactured from a single piece of forged stainless steel (EV8 / 21-4N alloy), this valve delivers exceptional strength, durability, and flow characteristics demanded by performance and race applications. Each valve measures 35mm head diameter × 5.97mm stem diameter × 117.50mm overall length and features a single-groove keeper design at stock dimensions.

Black Nitride Surface Treatment

This valve is finished with Supertech's hardened Black Nitride coating — a surface treatment widely favored in European and Japanese performance engines. The nitriding process produces a microhardness of 800HV minimum while preserving ductility in the underlying stainless steel. The resulting surface is smoother than chrome-plated alternatives, reducing friction between the valve stem and guide for improved longevity and more consistent performance over time.
