Manley Tensile Max Super Valve Spring Retainer

Manley Tensile Max Super 7° valve spring retainers are high-strength steel engine valve spring retainers for serious engine builders. They are machined in Manley's own CNC turning centers from its proprietary TensileMax alloy. They give you a strong, durable alternative to titanium retainers in racing and high-performance valvetrain builds.

Key Features:

• TensileMax alloy construction: a proprietary steel alloy made for strength, fatigue resistance and wear resistance.
• Titanium-class weight: designed to weigh about the same as standard titanium retainers, and within a few grams of lightweight titanium versions.
• Specialized heat treatment: hardened to Rc 52-54 to resist retainer wear.
• Impingement surface process: developed specifically for the TensileMax alloy to improve fatigue strength and abrasion resistance. It also promotes better oiling between the spring and the retainer.
• Super 7° keeper design: a Super 7° valve lock angle for compatible valve lock setups.
• CNC machined in the USA: precision manufacturing for consistent quality.

Manley's alloy, heat treatment and surface process balance ultimate strength, fatigue strength, hardness and ductility. This makes the retainers a dependable choice for high-RPM, high-spring-pressure valvetrains. Several sizes and configurations are offered, so you can match the retainer to your valve spring setup.
