Product Details

The Rancho RS999789 is part of the globally recognized RS9000XL series — the first 9-position manually adjustable shock absorber line in the off-road market. Engineered and manufactured in the U.S., this shock delivers customizable damping performance for trucks, SUVs, and Jeeps used in on-road driving, off-road adventures, towing, and hauling.

Key Features:

  • 9-position adjustable damping knob — provides up to 400% change in damping control from position 1 to position 9, allowing a fully customized ride
  • 2.75-inch tri-tube body — increases fluid capacity and reduces heat buildup for consistent performance under demanding conditions
  • Nitrogen gas pressurized to 45–60 PSI — minimizes air-to-oil mixture to reduce damping fade and foaming
  • Heavy-duty 18mm nitro-carburized rod — provides enhanced scuffing resistance and corrosion protection
  • 1-1/4-inch sintered iron piston — improves overall strength and structural integrity
  • Graphite-filled Fluon-banded piston — reduces friction for quicker rebound and smoother compression
  • Polyurethane bushings and rebound bumper — absorb ride harshness and improve durability over standard rubber components
  • Protective red polyvinyl boot — shields the shock rod and oil seal from debris and contamination
  • Premium liquid metallic finish — provides long-lasting corrosion resistance and a clean appearance
  • Ideal for stock or lifted trucks, SUVs, and Jeeps — suited for towing, hauling, and off-road use

The RS9000XL's adjustable damping also helps counteract the additional unsprung mass associated with larger aftermarket tire and wheel combinations. Covered by Rancho's 90-Day Free Ride Offer and Limited Lifetime Warranty (extended length units carry a 90-Day Limited Warranty).

I can't believe how much money I saved buying from Autoplicity. I had been shopping the Bakflip for months and this price easily beat every other online store for the same exact item. My item shipped direct from the factory within days. I couldn't be happier.
