COMP Cams 8779-1 Hi-Tech .120" Wall Pushrod for GM 6.6L Duramax Diesel - Single

The COMP Cams 8779-1 Hi-Tech Pushrod is a heavy-duty, performance-grade pushrod engineered for GM 6.6L Duramax Diesel engines. Designed for applications running higher than stock boost pressure, upgraded valve springs, or more aggressive camshafts, this pushrod delivers the strength and stability that stock components simply cannot match.

Key Features:

• 7/16" diameter tube with .120" wall thickness — significantly stiffer than the OEM pushrod for improved valvetrain stability at elevated RPM and under higher boost, spring, and cylinder pressures
• Three-piece construction — allows two different materials to be used: one optimized for the tube and another for the tips, maximizing both strength and wear resistance
• Heat-treated 4130 chromemoly tubing — selected for its excellent compressive strength and superior strength-to-weight ratio
• CNC-machined 86L20 steel tips — precision-machined for outstanding wear resistance and long-term durability
• 12mm ball top end and 12mm bottom cup end — with integrated oiling holes, perfectly matched to the OEM design for compatibility with both stock and upgraded valvetrain components
• 9.430" overall length — direct fitment for GM 6.6L Duramax Diesel engines
• Sold individually (single pushrod)

The COMP Cams Hi-Tech series is purpose-built for hardcore street performance and race applications where stock pushrods are not adequate. Whether you're adding a performance camshaft, upgrading valve springs, or pushing boost levels beyond factory limits, the 8779-1 provides the valvetrain rigidity needed for consistent, reliable power delivery.
