COMP Cams 4124-E-1 XD-A Adjustable Pushrod Top Section 6.720" OAL 5/16" Diameter .105" Wall

The COMP Cams 4124-E-1 is the replacement top section for the COMP Cams XD-A™ Adjustable Pushrod system. Measuring 6.720" overall length with a 5/16" (0.3125") outer diameter and .105" wall thickness, this chromoly steel top section is the sliding inner tube component of the two-piece XD-A pushrod assembly.

The XD-A system works by sliding the top section approximately two inches inside a wider-diameter bottom section, with precision shims captured between the two pieces to lock in the final assembled length. This design delivers a game-changing method for accurately setting valve lash or hydraulic pre-load without the need for adjustable-style rocker arms.

Key Features:

• 6.720" overall length top section for XD-A adjustable pushrod assembly
• 5/16" diameter chromoly steel construction for strength and durability
• .105" wall thickness for optimal rigidity and valvetrain stability
• Slides inside the wider XD-A bottom section; length is set using captured shims (sold separately)
• Compatible with hydraulic and solid roller camshaft applications
• Engineered for engines with low-mass rocker arms and lightweight valvetrain systems
• Proven to 9,000+ RPM in demanding solid roller applications
• Sold individually (single top section)

Top sections are available in 0.200" increments for coarse length adjustment, allowing precise tuning of the assembled pushrod length when combined with XD-A shims. For the complete XD-A pushrod system, pair with the appropriate COMP Cams XD-A bottom section and shim kit.
