COMP Cams 42-140-5-09-001 Hi-Tech 9.000" .080" Wall 5/16" Chromemoly Pushrods

The COMP Cams 42-140-5-09-001 Hi-Tech pushrods are engineered for hardcore street performance and race applications where valvetrain integrity is critical. Built from seamless chromemoly tubing with an .080" wall thickness, these pushrods deliver the rigidity and frequency-matching characteristics demanded by high-lift camshafts and elevated valve spring pressures.

COMP Cams engineers understand that pushrod frequency must be matched to the rest of the valvetrain components and the RPM range of the engine — not simply built to avoid bending or failure. These Hi-Tech pushrods are the result of that engineering philosophy.

Key Features:

• Series: Hi-Tech — designed for hardcore street performance and race engines
• Length: 9.000" (gauge length measured at .140" gauge diameter)
• Diameter: 5/16"
• Wall Thickness: .080" seamless chromemoly tubing
• One-piece construction for maximum strength and durability
• Precision-formed ends with added thickness in the critical tip area for strength while maintaining constant wall thickness and concentricity
• Heat-treated for maximum strength and compatibility with guide plates
• OD-ground for consistency
• Black oxide finish with length and part number laser-etched on the OD for easy identification

These pushrods are ideal for engines running aggressive camshaft profiles with increased valve spring pressures, where standard pushrods may flex or fail to maintain proper valvetrain geometry at high RPM.
