Product Details

The Manley 42342-16 is a precision-machined valve spring cup designed to protect your cylinder head from the high pressures of performance valve springs. This inside diameter style spring cup is engineered for use with valve springs measuring 1.620 inches in inside diameter.

Key Features:

 • Precision-machined from heat-treated steel for exceptional durability
 • 1.620" inside diameter sizing for proper spring fitment
 • Protects expensive aluminum cylinder heads from spring galling and wear
 • Black oxide finish provides corrosion resistance
 • Quality-machined to .062" thickness for strength and reliability

Manley valve spring cups are essential valvetrain components for high-performance and racing engines where valve spring pressures exceed factory specifications. They act as a protective barrier between the valve spring and the cylinder head spring seat, preventing damage to soft aluminum head castings. The precision machining ensures proper spring geometry and consistent installed height for optimal valvetrain performance.

The order was very easy to place

Ordered a sling to store my roof rack. There was an issue with the supplier which was quickly resolved by the Autoplicity staff. Great customer service -- most responsive I've ever seen.

Best prices around.

Super easy to browse web site and find the product I wanted.
The price was unmatched.
Shipping was fast and cheap.
Super shopping experience.

Great prices, helpful customer service. Ordered 2 by mistake. And they got it cleared up real fast. Saved over $80 off retail. Will be ordering from the, again!!!!!
Rather amazing and uneventful service in this day and age. Ordered a Thule bike rack for my Nissan Murano. It was in stock (unusual for high-end specialty products), shipped the next day, and was on my doorstep in a few days (excellent for a 60 lb. large box). I'd buy anything from these people without any reservation. AND, your order is insured - completely superfluous. Oh, and did I mention, the lowest price I could find ANYWHERE, and not by a few dollars - a lot.
