Michelin X TWEEL SSL Hard Surface Traction Airless Tire & Wheel Assembly

The Michelin X® TWEEL™ SSL Hard Surface Traction is a revolutionary airless radial tire and wheel assembly engineered for skid steer loaders and light construction equipment operating primarily on pavement, asphalt, and other hard or highly abrasive surfaces. By eliminating compressed air entirely, this complete assembly delivers the ride performance and handling of a pneumatic tire — without the flat tires, pressure monitoring, or complex mounting that cost operators time and money on the job site.

No Air. No Flats. No Downtime.

Skid steer loaders equipped with traditional pneumatic tires are prone to chronic flat tire failures in demanding environments. The X TWEEL SSL Hard Surface Traction eliminates this problem entirely — once bolted on, there is no air pressure to maintain and no risk of going flat, keeping machines running and crews productive across the most punishing job sites.

Key Features:

• Complete Airless Assembly: One single integrated unit replaces the traditional tire, wheel, and valve stem — no complex mounting equipment required
• Michelin Comp10 Cable™ Technology: Proprietary cable construction forms a semi-rigid shear beam, allowing the load to hang from the top for superior stability and handling
• Zero-Degree Belts & ComposiCoil® Design: Delivers exceptional lateral stiffness while resisting damage and effectively absorbing impacts
• High-Strength Poly-Resin Spokes: Carry the load, absorb impacts, dampen ride vibration, and reduce the pneumatic bounce associated with standard tires — improving operator comfort and reducing fatigue
• Extra-Deep High-Scrub Tread Compound: Engineered specifically to maximize tread life on hard and abrasive surfaces, delivering significantly longer wear than a comparable pneumatic tire
• Retreadable Core: A deep underlying tread layer allows the outer core to be retreaded multiple times, significantly lowering long-term cost of ownership
• Mechanically Interlocked Steel Hub: Heavy-gauge, eight-bolt interlocking hub design provides robust and reliable attachment to standard skid steer machines

Ideal Applications:

• Construction and pavement maintenance
• Asphalt milling and paving operations
• Transfer stations and waste handling
• Industrial and material handling environments

The Michelin X TWEEL SSL Hard Surface Traction line is available across multiple sizes to fit a wide range of skid steer loader configurations. Each assembly is purpose-built for operators who demand maximum tread life on hard surfaces without sacrificing traction when occasional off-pavement work is required — delivering Michelin's hallmark combination of no maintenance, no compromise, and no downtime.
