Michelin 64828 X Tweel SSL Hard Surface Traction Airless Radial Unit 12N16.5

The Michelin X Tweel SSL Hard Surface Traction (MPN 64828) is an innovative airless tire and wheel assembly engineered for skid steer loaders operating primarily on hard, abrasive surfaces such as concrete, asphalt, and compacted gravel. Sized at 12N16.5, this integrated Tweel unit eliminates the risk of pneumatic blowouts and flat tires, delivering maximum uptime and productivity on demanding job sites.

Unlike conventional pneumatic tires, the Michelin X Tweel SSL uses a patented spoke-and-shear-band technology that absorbs shock and deflects over obstacles while maintaining a consistent footprint. The Hard Surface Traction tread compound is specifically formulated to resist the accelerated wear caused by concrete and pavement, extending service life significantly compared to standard skid steer tires in these environments.

Key Features:

• Airless Design: No air pressure to maintain — eliminates flats, blowouts, and downtime from punctures
• Hard Surface Traction Compound: Optimized rubber formulation for extended wear life on concrete and asphalt
• Integrated Tweel Assembly: Tire and wheel combined into a single, bolt-on unit for straightforward installation
• Consistent Footprint: Engineered spoke structure maintains uniform ground contact for predictable handling and load distribution
• 17-inch Bolt Pattern Compatibility: Designed for standard skid steer loader wheel hubs
• Reduced Vibration: Flexible polyurethane spokes dampen vibration transmitted to the operator cab
• Low Maintenance: Eliminates routine air pressure checks and tube/tire repair costs

The Michelin X Tweel SSL 64828 is ideal for contractors, municipalities, and rental fleets that operate skid steers in warehouses, parking structures, loading docks, or paved outdoor environments where flat tires cause costly delays. This unit delivers the durability and reliability that professionals demand from the Michelin brand.
