Supertech Performance MCIVN-1008S-8 Black Nitrided Intake Valve Set +1.8mm Oversize for Mini Cooper S

These performance intake valves feature a +1.8mm oversize head diameter at 32.0mm, providing increased airflow potential for high-performance engine builds.

Key Specifications:

• Head Diameter: 32.0mm (+1.8mm oversize)
• Stem Diameter: 5.94mm
• Valve Length: 109.58mm
• Material: Enhanced EV8 (21-4N) stainless steel
• Finish: Black nitride coating
• Groove Type: Single groove

Supertech manufactures these intake valves from an enhanced version of EV8 (21-4N) steel, the highest grade of stainless steel available for valve applications. The black nitride coating provides superior surface hardness (minimum 800HV microhardness) while maintaining excellent ductility in the base material. This coating creates a smoother surface finish than traditional chrome stems, reducing friction between the valve stem and guide for improved performance and longevity.

Performance Benefits:

• Harder valve seat surface for extended life with modern lead-free fuels, alcohol, and high-performance fuel mixtures
• Reduced valve-to-guide friction for decreased internal engine power loss
• Compatible with all seat materials including nodular iron, powder metal, and aluminum-copper seats
• One-piece forged construction with hardened tips and seats
• Ideal for high-RPM applications where internal friction reduction is critical

Installation Note: These valves require Supertech single groove valve keepers (two per valve, sold separately). Professional installation and proper engine machining recommended for oversized valves.
