Product Details

The Sumitomo ST948 SE is Sumitomo's highest mileage and most fuel-efficient drive tire, engineered with advanced S-Tech Design to maximize original tread life and lower rolling resistance for long-distance, coast-to-coast operations. This SmartWay Verified tire is specifically designed for commercial trucks operating in medium to heavy-duty long haul service.

Key Features:

  • Extra-deep 30/32nd tread depth with stone ejectors positioned in the base of shoulder grooves to resist stone drilling
  • Significantly wider tread face for consistent retreadability, with wide, solid shoulders that evenly dispense contact pressure for long, even wear
  • Wide tread blocks minimize tread squirm by lowering rolling resistance and promoting long and even tread wear
  • Micro sipes in the tread blocks enhance traction in dry, wet, and wintry weather conditions
  • Longitudinal and lateral grooves improve performance by dispersing water and slush out of the tread and resist hydroplaning

A unique combination of superior compounding and deep tread design give the ST948 SE better fuel efficiency to improve operating costs. Best suited for commercial trucks, pick-up, and delivery trucks.
