I installed the Ralco RZ short shifter on my 2003 Chevy Cavalier LS Sport Coupe… The shifter is bent more and shorter that the stock shifter. It’s made of sturdy quality parts, not semi-plastic (YES PLASTIC) parts like the OEM shifter.
It fully lives up to that 40% throw reduction for my particular car. I love the smooth quick shifts and excellent comfort I get from my new shifter, and the brush aluminum shift know that it came with…
It even replaced the (PLASTIC) OEM reverse-lift safety latch with a steel one, which you have to pound an (included) piece in to hold in place, the reason they do this is if you want to disable it, just flip it and pound it in! Permanently disabled! (I left mine enabled, I’m used to it and it’s there for a reason.)
It even came with a Ralco Performance vinyl badge that, after testing, I proudly slapped on my rear windshield… Looks great over the behind-glass breaklight. The only thing that bothered me was the lack of instruction, I followed these instructions and go it done myself instead of paying a mech, but My car only goes in the garage for tires and alignment…
Anyways, Great Product! 10/10 5/5 for comfort, performance, material quality, design quality, AND price! Hard to find!
Would recommend to anyone for racing or for comfort!
Plus it’s pleasing to the eye!
