Product Details

The Cometic C4140-027 is a precision-engineered Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket designed for classic Ford Kent engines and their high-performance derivatives. This gasket provides superior sealing performance for Pre-Crossflow OHV Kent, Crossflow OHV Kent, Cosworth BD Series, and Lotus Twin Cam engines.

Key Specifications:

  • Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) construction for maximum durability and heat resistance
  • 0.027" compressed thickness for precise compression ratio control
  • 84mm bore diameter accommodates standard and performance builds
  • Compatible with Ford Pre-Crossflow and Crossflow OHV Kent engines
  • Fits Cosworth BD Series racing engines
  • Engineered for Lotus Twin Cam applications

Cometic's MLS head gaskets feature multiple layers of stainless steel with specialized coatings that provide superior resistance to combustion pressure and thermal cycling. The advanced design ensures consistent clamping pressure across the entire sealing surface, making this gasket ideal for both street and racing applications where reliability is critical.

quick, easy. product not exactly what I wanted but close enough. good value

easy and straight forward transition ebay to autoplicity for best price.

Excellent business. This is my second purchase and there will be more! I ordered my parts over the holiday weekend and they mailed them the Tuesday after Labor Day. The absolute BEST pricing you will get. You will not find a lower price else ware. The shipping doesn't even take forever like most places you get great pricing. Communication is excellent, the site is very easy to use and navigate. I will be doing business with Autoplicity.com many more times and highly recommend them.

Best price I could find on the net and super fast shipping.

Quick ordering process.
