The QA1 27A948-3M is a 27 Series stock mount monotube shock absorber engineered for circle track racing on both dirt and asphalt surfaces. Built as a sealed IMCA-legal unit, this shock is compliant with IMCA Southern Sport Mod sanctioning body and track rules, with gas pressure adjustable only by QA1 and QA1 Authorized Rebuilders.

Sharing its proven architecture with QA1's long-trusted 26 Series, the 27 Series brings the same high-performance monotube design into a direct stock mount configuration. A zinc-plated steel body provides excellent corrosion resistance, while the 46mm hard anodized piston delivers consistent, reliable damping performance across a full race season.

This unit features 8-compression / 3-rebound (8C/3R) linear valving, which allows a stable, predictable damping curve — offering complete control of suspension at low shaft speeds without generating extreme forces at high shaft velocities. Linear valving helps the driver feel the car better and maintain a more consistent handling balance throughout the race.
