Product Details

The QA1 27886-3M is part of QA1's 27 Series — a stock-mount monotube shock absorber built for performance street and racing applications. Featuring a large steel body with a zinc-plated finish, this shock delivers consistent, repeatable damping with the durability and tunability serious builders demand.

The 27 Series builds on the proven performance of QA1's 26 Series platform, adding a stock mount design for straightforward installation without custom fabrication. The 46mm hard-anodized piston provides a large working surface for precise damping control, while the V-body (large steel) construction ensures long-term durability under demanding conditions.

Key Specifications:

  • Collapsed Length: 12.8 inches
  • Extended Length: 21.38 inches
  • Travel: approximately 8.58 inches
  • Mounting Style: Stud / Polyurethane bushing (Stud/Poly)
  • Valving: 6 compression / 3 rebound (6-3M)
  • Body: Large steel, zinc-plated
  • Piston: 46mm hard-anodized
  • Type: Monotube, stock mount

Key Features:

  • Stock mount design for OEM-style fitment with performance upgrade capability
  • Monotube construction provides superior heat dissipation over twin-tube designs
  • Multiple valving options available across the 27 Series lineup for tuning flexibility
  • Zinc-plated body resists corrosion for extended service life
  • Compatible with QA1's full line of performance suspension components

QA1 engineers high-quality performance suspension systems trusted by circle track racers, drag racers, and classic muscle car and truck enthusiasts. The 27886-3M is an excellent choice for builders seeking a direct-fit monotube upgrade with proven QA1 performance.

Very easy and intuitive!

Once I got the numbers off the old battery it was easier than when I put in the make and model because I have a BMW motorcycle instead of the car which is what came up each time.

Good

great prices

Easy shopping, good prices. Would like just a little more specific information on the item descriptions.

The resonator I ordered arrived at my house slightly bent, but I called Autoplicity and they sent a replacement by next-day-air, so I was happy about that. It's a little hard to reach people there when you need to get a problem resolved, but in the end it all worked out.

Best price I could find, easy to order and pay thru Amazon, so far so good

This is our second order from Autoplicity. The first one didn't go so well due to a mix up with the Sparco seat pricing. Though I was starting to question our decision to order from them after several emails and phone calls and online chats, they came through in the end. These guys earned our second order by honoring the price they had listed and then calling to follow up when our race seat was shipped. Since this group was able turn our bad experience into a positive one we made our second order and, so far, it looks like they are again getting us what we want at the best price we can find. We are happy to recommend Autoplicty and plan on using them for future orders. There is one specific thing we would recommend, change the quality and volume of the hold music on the 800 #. It sounded like we were calling a 1970's van with a blown Jensen stereo turned all the way up,...

I was pleasantly pleased that Autoplicity was 10% cheaper than anyplace online for the items I was looking for. Keep it up, I'll be back

Cheapest price by far, not the speediest shipment unfortunately.

Best prices online for a locker and pretty fast shipping too!

Fast reliable cheap

Quickly received item. Exactly what I ordered and was best price out there. Will do business with them again.

I saw nothing but good reviews and the money back guarantee, these together helped me finalize my decision to order from this site. I ordered just before the weekend started so I think it took my order a little longer to process. I was relieved to find that my order was shipped on the day I ordered it, It just took a little while for the email traffic to catch up. So far things have been good!!!
