Monroe 557045 Magnum RV Gas-Charged Rear Shock Absorber

The Monroe® Magnum™ RV 557045 is a gas-charged shock absorber engineered specifically for the demanding requirements of Class A recreational vehicles. Combining a nitrogen gas charge with full-displaced valving technology, it delivers superior ride stability and control by minimizing bounce and wander on both cross-country highways and local roads.

Key Features:

• 10-Stage Valving System: Tuned to react to a wide range of road conditions for more efficient and consistent damping control
• 1-3/4" (44.6 mm) Large Bore Design: The oversized bore of the 557xx Series provides enhanced fluid capacity and more consistent performance under load
• Nitrogen Gas Charge: Helps maintain tire-to-road contact by reducing aeration and shock fade for improved ride and handling
• Robust Hydraulic Lock-Out: Prevents over-extension of air bags and top-out of the piston, protecting the seal assembly from damage
• PTFE-Coated Bearing: Reduces friction between the rod and rod guide for improved durability and smooth operation
• Shouldered & Bonded Bushings with Sleeve: Prevents bushing walkout for longer service life and improved quality
• 360° Arc Weld Construction: Loop welding technique provides up to 15,000 lbs. tensile strength for maximum durability
• All-Weather Fluid: Special fluid additives reduce oil breakdown in extreme temperatures, ensuring consistent performance in any climate
• Larger Reserve Tube: Holds more fluid to improve performance under demanding conditions
• Dust Shield Included: Helps protect internal components from road debris and contamination
