Eagle Specialty Products: The Standard in High-Performance Rotating Assemblies
Eagle Specialty Products has been at the forefront of high-performance engine building since its founding in 1992. Eagle set out with a singular mission: to engineer the strongest, most reliable bottom-end components on the market, and decades of development went into their product line before a single rod was ever sold. Today, the brand is widely recognized as the largest aftermarket connecting rod manufacturer in the world, with a global dealer network spanning over 7,000 distributors.
Eagle's reputation is built on an uncompromising approach to materials and manufacturing. The brand uses only certified steel in production, and every component undergoes multi-stage heat treating, sonic testing, magna-fluxing, and x-ray inspection to guarantee reliability under extreme stress. Whether you're building a street cruiser or a full-tilt drag racing engine, Eagle has engineered a solution to match the application.
A Complete Bottom-End Solution
At the heart of Eagle's lineup are their legendary engine connecting rods, offered in several tiers to suit every power level. The budget-friendly SIR forged 5140 steel I-Beam rods are ideal for naturally aspirated builds, while the ESP H-Beam rods — forged from ASME-certified 4340 chromoly steel — are the go-to choice for high-horsepower engines running boost, nitrous, or exotic fuels. The latest 4th-generation 4D H-Beam rods take it even further with 100% CNC machining on every surface, 7/16" ARP 2000 bolts as standard equipment, and a proprietary steel alloy developed over 30 years of research.
Eagle's engine crankshafts round out the rotating assembly with the same tiered philosophy — from cast steel street replacements to forged 4140 and full 4340 competition units. Eagle uses Hines computerized balancers and trained technicians to ensure every crankshaft meets precise tolerances, and their forged cranks feature generously sized fillet radiuses for improved fatigue resistance over OEM pieces.
For builders who want a complete solution, Eagle's engine rebuild kits bundle a crank, rods, pistons, rings, and bearings into a single, test-fitted rotating assembly. These kits span from Street & Strip packages for pump-gas daily drivers all the way to full Competition and Heavy-Duty assemblies designed for extreme boost and high-RPM use. Eagle partners with top piston suppliers including Mahle, JE/SRP, CP/Arias, and others to deliver a complete, cohesive build in one order.
Rounding out the lineup are Eagle's engine connecting rod bolts — manufactured by ARP to Eagle's own specifications. These are purpose-engineered fasteners, not off-the-shelf items, ensuring the critical rod-cap joint is held to the precise tolerances Eagle's designs demand.
Broad Application Coverage
Eagle was the first aftermarket manufacturer to expand aggressively into import and domestic platforms alike. Their catalog covers engines from Chevrolet small block and LS, Ford, Chrysler, Pontiac, Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Subaru, and many more — with new applications added every year. That breadth, combined with Eagle's massive in-house inventory, allows the brand to ship the vast majority of orders the same day they are placed.
