Why Forged? Unlike cast pistons, Wiseco's forged pistons start with aerospace-grade aluminum that is compressed under extreme pressure to align the grain flow of the alloy. This process produces a piston with superior resistance to impact and fatigue, higher ultimate strength, and improved ductility — all critical advantages in high-performance 2-stroke applications where heat and mechanical stress are severe.

USA-Made Precision: Wiseco forges all pistons and manufactures all forge tooling in-house, giving them complete control over every stage of production — from raw aluminum bar stock to finished skirt-coated parts. In-house dyno testing enables continuous refinement of piston shapes, coatings, and profiles. The Pro-Lite series features CNC-machined cam shape and profile optimization for maximum horsepower and extended service life.
