Wiseco PK1405 96mm 13:1 CR Forged Piston Kit with Top-End Gasket Kit

The Wiseco PK1405 is a high-performance forged piston kit designed for the Kawasaki KX450F, featuring a 96.00mm bore and an aggressive 13.0:1 compression ratio. This kit includes the piston (Wiseco part 4901M09600), piston rings, wrist pin, circlips, and a top-end gasket kit — everything needed for a complete top-end rebuild.

Why Forged Over Cast?

Wiseco forged pistons offer a clear advantage over cast pistons in high-performance and racing environments. Forgings feature a condensed, aligned grain structure that delivers superior mechanical properties, greater resistance to impact, and improved fatigue life. Cast pistons, by contrast, lack this grain structure and are more prone to catastrophic failure when material yield strength is exceeded.

Key Features:

• 96.00mm bore with 13.0:1 compression ratio for maximized power output
• Forged from high-strength aluminum alloy — engineered, forged, and machined in the USA
• Designed specifically for each engine application, built to the tightest tolerances
• Optimized strength-to-weight ratio for instant throttle response and maximum torque
• Computer-engineered piston skirt profiles minimize cylinder wall friction
• In-house dyno testing and 3D finite element modeling ensure peak performance
• Full top-end rebuild kit includes piston, rings, wrist pin, circlips, and top-end gasket set
• OEM piston part number cross-reference: 4901M09600

Wiseco is the only aftermarket piston manufacturer in the United States that produces pistons exclusively using the forging process — giving racers and enthusiasts unmatched confidence in every rebuild.
