Ohlins BM 508 46DRS Emulsion Shock Absorber for BMW Motorcycles

The Öhlins BM 508 is a 46DRS-series emulsion-style rear shock absorber engineered for small, lightweight BMW motorcycles where space and weight are at a premium. Built around a 46mm shock piston, this unit delivers the precise, consistent damping performance that Öhlins is globally renowned for, in a compact package suited to tighter chassis environments.

Unlike pressurized twin-tube or piggyback reservoir designs, the emulsion-style construction mixes oil and nitrogen gas within a single shock body, resulting in a simpler, lighter, and more space-efficient unit — ideal for urban commuters and smaller displacement sport bikes.

Key Features:

• 46mm piston diameter for broad damping force range and consistent performance
• Emulsion shock design — oil and gas mixed in a single compact shock body, saving space and weight
• Adjustable rebound damping — fine-tune suspension response to rider preference and road conditions
• Hose-mounted hydraulic spring preload adjuster — convenient preload changes without tools, even in tight frame areas
• Designed specifically for small, lightweight motorcycles with limited rear suspension space
• Öhlins quality construction with Swedish-engineered precision internals

The Öhlins BM 508 is a direct-fit performance upgrade that transforms handling and ride quality over stock suspension, offering professional-level adjustability in a package optimized for compact BMW platforms.
