Product Details

The COMP Cams 8279-16 pushrod set features dual taper construction for optimal strength-to-weight ratio and enhanced performance. These pushrods measure 7.550 inches in length with a 7/16 inch diameter and .165 inch wall thickness, providing excellent rigidity while minimizing valve train mass.

Key Specifications:

  • Length: 7.550 inches
  • Diameter: 7/16 inch (11.11mm)
  • Wall Thickness: .165 inch
  • Construction: Dual taper design
  • Material: High-strength seamless chromoly tubing

Features & Benefits:

  • Dual taper design reduces weight at the ends while maintaining strength in the center section
  • Thicker .165 inch wall provides superior resistance to bending and flex under high spring loads
  • Precision manufactured to tight tolerances for proper valve train geometry
  • Heat-treated chromoly construction offers excellent durability in high-performance applications
  • Ball and cup ends are CNC-machined for precise fit with rocker arms and lifters

These pushrods are designed for performance engine builds requiring specific length and diameter combinations. The dual taper configuration is ideal for high-RPM applications where reducing reciprocating mass improves valve train stability and engine response. Sold as a complete set for multi-cylinder applications.

This is my second time ordering from Autoplicity and both times they had the lowest price on the items I was looking for (brake pads and CAI filter). Fast shipping, my filter was at my door two days later. Overall very satified.

A week ago I ordered a H3RHG100C 1.4 lb Halotron fire extinguisher. I mentioned "a week ago" because that is how long it took from order to delivery across the U.S.!! Now that I look at the paperwork, it wasn't even a full week. Autoplicity is now my #1 parts supplier for my 2010 Camaro. They could not have been any better overall. Ordering, checkout, stock and shipping. All above and beyond my expectations Great site, great communication. A1 people.

Thank You
