The Skyjacker C280AJKS-N is a complete 8-inch suspension lift kit with Nitro shocks engineered for 1969–1972 Chevrolet Blazers and GMC Jimmys. Designed for serious off-road enthusiasts who demand both aggressive lift height and a comfortable, controlled ride, this kit delivers exceptional ground clearance without sacrificing drivability on or off the trail.

At the heart of this system are Skyjacker's renowned Softride leaf springs, manufactured with precision-tapered leaves that produce a lower spring rate and superior suspension travel compared to conventional multi-leaf setups. Teflon wear pads reduce inter-leaf friction, bolt-style clips further minimize leaf bind, and the springs are shot-peened to compress the steel and increase tensile strength for long-lasting durability.

Important Installation Notes:

  • Compatible only with vehicles equipped with 52-inch long rear leaf springs
  • Driveline and exhaust modifications are required at this lift height
  • Vehicles equipped with an OEM front sway bar require lowering bracket (part number SBL40)
  • Vehicles with a 4-bolt closed knuckle require offset drag link (part number GMDL4) in place of CA100
  • Skyjacker recommends the addition of a steering arm and pitman arm for proper steering geometry at 8 inches of lift
  • A transfer case lowering kit may be required depending on configuration
  • Recommended brake line extensions: 1970–72 Front FBL18, Rear RBL13 (Blazer/Jimmy); 3/4-ton GVWR Front FBL28, Rear RBL13

The -N suffix denotes this kit includes Nitro shocks, providing a firm, responsive damping character ideal for off-road use. If your application requires different shock valving, the C280AJKS is also available in Hydro (-H) and M95 (-M) shock configurations.
