Product Details

The QA1 EXMR7-8 is an EXM Series carbon steel loader slot rod end featuring a 7/16 in. (0.4375 in.) bore and 1/2 in.-20 right-hand male thread. As QA1's economical alternative to alloy and chromoly steel rod ends, the EXM Series delivers the performance and durability demanded by motorsports applications without sacrificing value.

At the core of the EXM design is QA1's unique loader slot construction. The body is machined with a circumferential groove, the ball is seated into this slot, and a reinforced Nylon/PTFE race is injection-molded in place. This process creates a permanently self-sealing and self-lubricating assembly that resists dirt and debris intrusion — and unlike traditional pressed-in PTFE liners, the injection-molded race won't pound out under load.

The increased cross-sectional body thickness provides greater tensile strength, while the loaded slot geometry delivers metal-to-metal support under heavy shock loads and smooth articulation under light loads — making this rod end suitable for a wide range of racing and performance applications including 4-link suspensions, ladder bars, and chassis linkages.

  • Precision ground for smooth operation

Race:

  • Self-lubricating reinforced Nylon 12 with PTFE
  • Injection molded — won't pound out like traditional liners

  • Protective coating for corrosion resistance
