Weld Racing Wheels
Built by a Racer, Proven on Every Track
Founded in a Kansas City garage in 1967, WELD Racing was born from a relentless pursuit of speed, durability, and safety — sparked when Sprint Car driver Greg Weld couldn't find wheels strong enough for professional competition, so he built his own. That hands-on racing philosophy has never left the brand. Though WELD has grown into a global operation serving automotive enthusiasts worldwide, every wheel is still produced in the Kansas City facility.
Engineering at the Core
WELD designs, engineers, and manufactures one-, two-, and three-piece wheels from aircraft-quality forged aluminum at its 140,000-square-foot Kansas City facility, performing in-house destructive testing to ensure quality and performance. WELD is an engineering performance-driven company that lives the racing application through leading-edge designs and real-world results.
The crown jewel of the WELD catalog is, naturally, the Weld Racing Wheel lineup. The brand built its name in drag racing, where lightweight construction and reliability under extreme launch loads are critical, and became the standard choice for serious NHRA competitors throughout the 1970s and 1980s — a relationship with professional drag racing that has never really changed. Beyond the strip, WELD off-road and truck wheels are strong, well-engineered, and precision-built forged wheels that hold their own in demanding real-world environments.
A Complete Wheel Ecosystem
WELD's commitment to quality extends well beyond the wheel itself. WELD engineers have designed and engineered wheels from 10" to 26" in diameter for virtually every type of application, spanning more than 30,000 part numbers. To complement their wheel offerings, WELD also produces a carefully matched range of accessories. Wheel caps provide a finished, professional look that matches the precision of the wheels themselves. Proper wheel lug nuts are critical for safe, secure wheel installation — particularly under the stresses of racing launches and off-road impacts. Tire valve stems complete the inflation system, while wheel bead locks are an essential addition for racers running low tire pressures or extreme off-road conditions where tire bead security is non-negotiable.
From the Street to the Strip to the Podium
WELD street and strip aftermarket wheels are born on the track using the same forged alloy as WELD's racing wheels, with iconic styling that suits classics, muscle cars, pro touring builds, and modern muscle alike. In early 2017, WELD merged with the MOMO Automotive Group to form one of the industry's largest high-performance and motorsports powerhouses: MW Company. Whether you're chasing elapsed times on the quarter mile, tackling technical off-road terrain, or simply want a wheel with genuine racing DNA on your daily driver, WELD Racing delivers the proven performance and American craftsmanship that enthusiasts have trusted for over five decades.
