The Prothane 7-2004 is a comprehensive polyurethane total suspension bushing kit designed for 1974–1977 GM A-Body vehicles, including the Chevelle, Monte Carlo, Malibu, El Camino, Cutlass, Regal, LeMans, and related models. This all-in-one kit replaces every worn or deteriorated factory rubber bushing in the suspension system with precision-engineered polyurethane, delivering improved handling, tighter chassis response, and long-lasting durability.

Factory rubber bushings are prone to deformation, cracking, and failure over time due to heat, UV exposure, road grime, and vehicle fluids. Prothane's polyurethane formula resists all of these degradation factors, maintaining its shape and performance characteristics far longer than OEM rubber.

Prothane's polyurethane is firmer than OEM rubber, which translates to reduced deflection, improved wheel alignment stability, and more responsive handling. Note that as with any performance polyurethane bushing, a slight increase in NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) compared to soft factory rubber is normal. Proper installation and thorough greasing of all applicable bushings is essential for optimal performance and to prevent squeaking.
