Founded in 1993 and headquartered in Arvada, Colorado, ATS Diesel Performance has spent more than three decades engineering some of the most respected diesel performance upgrades on the market. ATS Diesel designs, engineers, and manufactures its products in-house, giving the brand a level of quality control that few aftermarket suppliers can match. Their sprawling Colorado facility houses over 10 dedicated departments — from a full machine shop and pattern shop to a transmission manufacturing floor, turbo manufacturing line, electronics department, and powder coating operation — all working together under one roof.

The brand serves owners of Cummins®, Powerstroke®, and Duramax® powered trucks, covering everything from weekend warriors and competitive drag racers to hard-working tow rigs and high-mileage daily drivers. ATS upgrades have earned a reputation in some of the most demanding arenas in diesel motorsport, appearing in record-setting drag trucks and championship-level sled pullers worldwide. That real-world validation is a key reason diesel enthusiasts trust ATS parts when the stakes are highest.

At the heart of the ATS lineup are their legendary billet transmissions, which have set the industry standard for performance-built automatics for over 25 years. All ATS transmissions are designed to handle extreme power and heavy loads, and each unit is dyno tested under load before it leaves the factory. Complementing the transmission lineup are their patented Five Star and TripleLok torque converters, Aurora turbocharger systems, fuel system components, exhaust manifolds, and electronic tuning modules.

ATS also produces a thoughtful range of drivetrain protection components. Their differential covers — part of the Protector series — are built from cast aluminum with a black powder-coat finish and offer 2.5 quarts of increased fluid capacity over stock, along with built-in heat sinks for better cooling. Paired with ATS’s purpose-built engine oil drain plugs — crafted from stainless steel with an integrated magnet to capture metallic debris — these components reflect the brand’s attention to detail even in seemingly small parts.

On the automatic transmission side, ATS rounds out the drivetrain package with precision-engineered components including automatic transmission flexplates, automatic transmission drain plugs, and high-performance automatic transmission valve bodies — each designed to work in harmony with ATS’s broader transmission systems for maximum reliability and power handling.

The Colorado Rocky Mountains serve as ATS’s proving ground. Year-round temperature extremes ranging from well below zero to over 100°F, combined with elevations exceeding 12,000 feet just a short drive from the facility, allow engineers to stress-test products under conditions that replicate — and often exceed — what real-world truck owners encounter.
