Spec Clutch SM493H Stage 2 Plus Clutch Kit - Carbon Kevlar Multi-Friction

The Spec Clutch SM493H Stage 2 Plus Clutch Kit is engineered for modified engines that demand more torque capacity than a standard Stage 2 clutch can deliver, while still preserving the street-friendly feel and engagement quality that Stage 2 is known for. This kit bridges the performance gap between Stage 2 and Stage 3, offering 15–20% greater torque capacity than a comparable Stage 2 kit without sacrificing daily drivability.

At the heart of the Stage 2 Plus is a full-face multi-friction disc combining carbon semi-metallic material on one side and Kevlar on the other — a hybrid construction that delivers strong grip, excellent heat resistance, and superior wear characteristics. The double-sprung hub features spring cover reliefs for added flexibility, along with heat-treated components throughout for long-term strength and durability.

Kit Includes:

• High-clamp performance pressure plate
• Full-face multi-friction disc — carbon semi-metallic / Kevlar hybrid
• High-torque double-sprung hub and disc assembly
• Throwout bearing
• Installation tool kit

Recommended Driving Applications:

• Street / Daily Driving

The SM493H Stage 2 Plus delivers a confident upgrade path for enthusiasts running bolt-on modifications or forced induction who need a clutch that holds more power without the harsh engagement characteristics of a full race-spec Stage 3 unit.
