Product Details

The Spec Clutch SC553H Stage 2 Plus Clutch Kit is engineered for modified engines that demand more torque capacity than a standard Stage 2 clutch can provide. Bridging the gap between the Stage 2 and Stage 3, the Stage 2 Plus offers the drivability and engagement quality characteristics of the Stage 2, but with a 15 to 20 percent higher torque capacity.

The disc uses a multi-friction design in a full-faced configuration with carbon semi-metallic material on one side and Kevlar® on the other — delivering excellent wear characteristics alongside elevated torque handling. Hubs are double-sprung with spring cover reliefs for flexibility, and heat-treated components for strength and durability.

Kit Includes:

  • High-clamp performance pressure plate
  • Composite multi-friction carbon/Kevlar® disc
  • High-torque sprung hub and disc assembly
  • Release bearing
  • Alignment tool

Intended Use:

  • Street
  • Drag Racing
  • Road Racing
  • Rally
  • Autocross
  • Pulling

The SC553H delivers the feel and daily drivability of a Stage 2 clutch while handling the demands of a heavily modified powerplant — making it an ideal upgrade for enthusiasts who want performance without sacrificing everyday usability.
