The Spec Clutch SM581 Stage 1 Clutch Kit is a high-performance upgrade engineered for bolt-on naturally aspirated and mildly modified forced induction engines. Delivering stock-like daily drivability with significantly improved holding power, the Stage 1 is the ideal entry-level performance clutch for drivers who want more from their drivetrain without sacrificing street manners.

At the heart of this kit is an integrally molded carbon-Kevlar-based organic disc lining that provides smooth, progressive engagement and long service life. The lining features an integrally bonded steel backing for added strength under high clamp loads and elevated temperatures. The double-sprung hub includes spring cover reliefs for flexibility, and all hub components are heat-treated for lasting strength and durability.
