Wiseco Pistons K492B6 Pistons - Professional Series

The Wiseco K492B6 is a Professional Series Quick 8 forged piston set engineered for serious big-block racing applications. Forged from high-strength 2618 aluminum alloy, these pistons deliver the structural integrity and heat resistance demanded by high-horsepower, nitrous-compatible engine builds. Each set includes 8 pistons with wrist pins (S462) installed and ready for assembly.

The Quick 8 Series features a 12–14 degree solid dome profile designed to work with a wide range of popular big-block cylinder head configurations. The dome geometry promotes optimal flame travel and combustion efficiency, while vertical gas ports allow pressurized combustion gases to act directly behind the top ring, pressing it firmly against the cylinder wall for superior ring seal and reduced blow-by. This design supports use of a lightweight .043/.043/3.0mm ring package (rings sold separately; recommended ring set: W77008-4560-5).

ArmorGlide Skirt Coating

All K492B6 pistons feature Wiseco's proprietary ArmorGlide skirt coating, developed and validated through Wiseco's in-house dynamometer program. ArmorGlide functions as a high-performance dry-film lubricant that reduces operating friction, minimizes skirt and cylinder wall wear, and allows the piston to be fitted tighter within the bore than an uncoated piston — improving ring seal and reducing piston rock noise.

Precision CNC-machined ring grooves maintain proper accumulator volume, axial width, and surface finish for maximum ring seal and minimized oil consumption. The K492B6 is a race-ready, out-of-the-box solution for demanding big-block builds where reliability and power output are non-negotiable.
