ARP 157-4301 Head Studs w/12-Point Nuts


Exact Tolerances for Perfect Alignment


Exact tolerances ensure that gaskets and cylinder heads just glide into position and align perfectly. These ARP Head Studs include 12-point nuts and are manufactured by ARP from premium 8740 chrome moly steel and heat treated to 190,000 psi. They are thread rolled after the heat treating process, which vastly improves their fatigue tolerance compared to studs threaded before heat treatment. High-quality, parallel ground washers included.

Easy and quick

The item was in stock, shipped fast and arrived quickly. The parts were the updated version of those designed for the old Buick engine and worked great for me. I would recommend using these head studs over the factory torque-to-yield head bolts. When using these studs, there is less risk of damaging the threaded taps of the aluminum engine block, which would be a disaster. This does happen to people who work on their own trucks, so for the DYI'er the best tactic is to eliminate negative variables entirely.
