Product Details

The COMP Cams 8105-CR is a precision-engineered cam retainer plate designed specifically for early-style Chevrolet small block engines. This essential component controls camshaft endplay and prevents the camshaft from walking forward in the engine block during operation.

Key Features:

  • Direct replacement for early Chevrolet small block engines (pre-1987 without factory roller camshaft provisions)
  • Precision-machined steel construction for durability and accurate fitment
  • Controls camshaft thrust and endplay for proper valve timing
  • Required when installing aftermarket performance camshafts
  • Bolt-on installation using existing mounting holes in engine block

This cam retainer plate is essential for any camshaft installation or rebuild on early small block Chevrolet engines. It mounts to the front of the engine block and uses the camshaft thrust button to maintain proper camshaft position. COMP Cams manufactures this component to exacting tolerances to ensure reliable performance in street, strip, and racing applications.

Autoplicity had the lowest price by far and shipping was very fast (ordered Wednesday evening, arrived Saturday morning). I will definitely order from Autoplicity again!

Very pleasant order over the phone. Gentleman was smart, cheerful and helpful.

I ordered a Grant 1103 Steering Wheel, Order Number: 16767. Great prices, quick shipping, good customer service, an all around deal. Thank you.

Just what you want from a merchant but don't expect; fast, courteous service and attention to the details of your order. I'm a happy consumer. Thank you, Autoplicity. I'll be back.

Autoplicity cares about there customers. I ordered a flash programmer and got to the last page and never got a confirmation of the order. I used the website chat and talked to somebody about it right away. So I ordered again and got a conformation. But both went though. Autoplicity called me next day a.m. to see if I made a mistake. Thanks for letting me know and correcting to one order. Saved me from shipping back a product I dind't need.

Exact product as promised with the best price on the internet. Product shipped fast and had a tracking number to keep me up to date on my order. I would order from again without hesitation and will tell friends.
