Product Details

The ARP AR5-400-1LB is a premium individual cylinder head stud constructed from 8740 chromoly steel with a black oxide finish. This high-strength fastener is designed for custom engine builds and replacement applications where individual studs are needed rather than complete kits.

Key Specifications:

  • Base thread size: 1/2"-13
  • Top thread size: 1/2"-20
  • Effective stud length: 5.400 inches
  • Material: 8740 chromoly steel rated at 180,000 psi tensile strength
  • Finish: Black oxide coating for corrosion resistance
  • Features broached Allen head end for easy installation

Precision Engineering:

  • Precision centerless-ground construction
  • Thread-rolled to military specification Mil-S-8879
  • Manufactured to the same exacting standards as ARP's complete stud kits

This stud is sold individually and does not include nuts or washers, which must be purchased separately. The broached Allen head end allows for controlled installation using a hex key. ARP's 8740 chromoly material provides exceptional strength and fatigue resistance, making it ideal for high-performance and racing applications where reliability is critical.

This is just what I need to complete my restoration of my 1985 El Camino.

I finally put the windshield wipers on today - it was much easier than I thought :). Haven't had a chance to use them to know how well they work yet.

We looked a lot of places online for the steering stabilizer for our vehicle. We priced and looked to find out who had the best product and fastest shipping. We were so glad that Autoplicity was able to have just what we needed. We highly recommend that you visit autopicity.com for all you vehicle needs and we thank Autoplicity for their expediency in getting us our stabilizer.
