ARP 123-5202 Main Cap Bolt Kit 4-Bolt Main 8740 Chrome Moly

The ARP 123-5202 main cap bolt kit is engineered for high-performance and competition engines requiring superior fastener strength and reliability. This 4-bolt main configuration provides the secure clamping force needed to eliminate main cap walk and fretting while protecting engine block threads from damage.

Key Features:

• Forged from premium 8740 chrome moly steel for maximum strength
• Heat-treated to 180,000-200,000 psi tensile strength depending on series
• Precision J-form threads rolled after heat-treat for 1000% greater fatigue life
• Generous under-head radius design reduces stress concentrations
• Hardened parallel-ground washers included for proper load distribution
• Professional-grade quality meeting exacting engine builder standards

ARP's post-heat-treat thread rolling process creates fasteners with dramatically improved fatigue resistance compared to conventional bolts threaded before heat treatment. Each component is manufactured to precise tolerances to ensure consistent clamping loads and long-term reliability in demanding applications. Complete kit includes all necessary hardware for installation.
