The Wiseco GLS8 Groove Lock Spacer is a precision-engineered oil ring support designed for use with Wiseco forged pistons in applications where the oil ring groove intersects the wrist pin bore. Also known as an Oil Rail Support (ORS), this component is essential for maintaining proper oil ring function in short-compression-height piston configurations common in long-stroke or long-rod engine builds.

Why You Need an Oil Rail Support:

• In applications where the piston's oil ring groove intersects the wrist pin opening, the oil ring can protrude through the pin bore without a support in place

Installation Note: Install the Groove Lock Spacer in the oil ring groove and slide it to the bottom of the groove with the dimple facing down over the wrist pin hole. Install the complete oil ring set on top of the spacer. Assemble the piston and connecting rod before installation, as the wrist pin will not pass through after the spacer is seated.
