The Wiseco GLS3 Groove Lock Spacer is a precision oil rail support designed for use in performance engine builds where the piston's oil ring groove intersects the wrist pin bore. This condition is common in short-compression-height pistons found in high-stroke or long-rod applications, where the pin bore breaks through the oil ring groove.

Why Oil Rail Supports Are Required:

• In applications where the wrist pin bore intersects the oil ring groove, the oil ring rails can protrude into the pin bore opening without proper support
• The Groove Lock Spacer seats against the bottom sill of the oil ring groove, physically bridging the pin bore opening and keeping the oil rails properly positioned
• Compatible only with Wiseco pistons that feature an oil ring groove machined 0.030 inches wider than the oil ring to accommodate the spacer
