The Manley 14054-8 H-beam connecting rod set delivers exceptional strength and durability for high-performance Small Block Chevy engine builds. These rods are forged from premium 4340 aircraft-quality steel alloy and feature a robust H-beam design that provides an optimal strength-to-weight ratio for demanding applications.

Construction and Features:

  • Forged from 4340 steel alloy with heat treatment for maximum strength
  • H-beam design fully machined to create the lightest, strongest rod possible
  • Shot-peened after machining to Mil specs and 100% magnafluxed for quality assurance
  • Compact uniform-grain structure provides ultimate strength and reliability
  • Wrist pin and big end bores honed to +/- 0.0002 in. tolerance
  • Bronze alloy bushing in wrist pin end for floating pin applications
  • ARP 8740 chromoly steel rod bolts (7/16 in. diameter, 180,000 psi tensile strength)
  • Weight-matched to within 2 grams per set for precise balance
  • Narrow cap design with polished, shot-peened beams
