Dunlop Trailmax Raid Motorcycle Tire

The Dunlop Trailmax Raid is a 40/60 adventure motorcycle tire for riders who want strong off-road traction without giving up on-road manners. Its aggressive tread is inspired by Dunlop's D908 RR off-road tire. Dunlop designed it to work as a dual sport and adventure touring tire, with a focus on wet grip, stability and predictable handling.

Key Features:

• 40/60 on-road/off-road design: Aggressive, pronounced tread blocks give off-road grip and braking. They are also tuned for stable road manners.
• Silica-rich compound: Highly dispersible, high surface area silica improves wet grip and durability. It also helps the tire grip without needing much heat. A blend of resins and carbon black balances road and off-road needs.
• Interconnected tread blocks: Tie bars link the blocks for added stability. Dunlop says this design also helps reduce rolling noise on pavement.
• Dynamic Front Formula (DFF): This design method balances section profile, carcass materials and assembly process for responsive, precise handling.
• Carcass Tension Control System (CTCS): Variable tension across the carcass width helps shape an ideal contact patch and footprint.
• Jointless Belt (JLB) construction in radial sizes: This removes belt overlap for smoother handling. It also limits distortion and heat build-up and reduces tread growth at speed.

The Trailmax Raid suits riders who split their time between trails and pavement. It is a good choice for mid-size to large adventure motorcycles. Front and rear versions are available.
