Michelin Defender LTX XL All-Season Highway Tire

The Michelin Defender LTX M/S2 is an all-season highway tire for pickup trucks, SUVs, crossovers and vans. It is built for long tread life, dependable traction in dry, wet and light snow conditions, and a quiet, comfortable ride. This XL (extra load) version suits drivers who want a durable truck and SUV touring tire for daily commuting, towing and hauling.

Key Features:

• Michelin EverTread 2.0 compound: Resists abrasion under high load and high torque. It is designed to give long tread life.
• Symmetric tread design: Closely spaced independent blocks add depth and rigidity for stable handling.
• Full-depth 3D SipeLock sipes: The sipes lock together under load to keep the blocks stable. They also provide biting edges for all-season traction through the life of the tire.
• Four circumferential grooves and open shoulder slots: These move water out of the contact patch to help wet braking and traction and to reduce the risk of hydroplaning.
• Durable construction: A twin polyester body casing gives stable steering response. Two steel belts add strength for heavy loads and highway speeds. A polyamide cap ply supports high-speed stability.
• M+S rated: Designed for reliable traction on light snow.
• Mileage warranty: Michelin lists a limited treadwear warranty for this line. Coverage varies by size and speed rating.

The Defender LTX M/S2 combines tread life, wet and dry grip and ride comfort in one highway all-season tire for light trucks and SUVs. Michelin recommends a dedicated winter tire for severe winter conditions.
