Hawk HB986D.580 ER-1 Motorsport Disc Brake Pad Set

The Hawk Performance HB986D.580 is an ER-1 compound motorsport brake pad set built for drivers who demand consistent, high-performance stopping power on track. Featuring Hawk's proprietary Ferro-Carbon friction material, the ER-1 compound delivers a higher coefficient of friction than competing endurance pads while maintaining matched or improved pad and rotor lifespan.

ER-1 Compound Highlights:

• Operating Temperature Range: 400°F – 1,600°F
• Optimal Temperature Range: 700°F – 1,100°F
• Pad Thickness: 0.580 in.
• Consistent medium-to-high friction lap after lap
• Exceptional modulation, release, and pedal communication
• Superior pad and rotor wear for extended service life
• Ideal for light-to-medium weight vehicles in HPDE, track days, time trials, and endurance racing
• Medium to high torque output

Important Compatibility Note: Hawk Performance ER-1 pads are designed for use with iron/metal rotors only. They are not compatible with carbon ceramic rotors.

The ER-1 compound has been refined through years of testing at some of America's most prestigious racing events, resulting in a well-rounded pad that delivers groundbreaking friction stability at extreme temperatures and hour-after-hour performance consistency. This set includes 4 pads (axle set).
