Ohlins YA 229 STX 36 Supersport Rear Shock Absorber S36HR1C1 265mm

The Öhlins YA 229 (model S36HR1C1) is a premium STX 36 Supersport rear shock absorber engineered to deliver a significant performance upgrade over stock suspension. Built to Öhlins' exacting standards, this shock absorber measures 265mm in length with a 50mm stroke and a spring rate of 100 N/mm, providing a precise and balanced ride whether on the street or the track.

At the heart of the YA 229 is a 36mm hydraulic piston in a classic monotube, high-pressure gas design. A pressurized nitrogen system combined with an external hose-mounted "piggyback" reservoir works to maintain optimal temperature and pressure balance, ensuring consistent damping performance even under sustained aggressive riding conditions.

Key Features:

• Monotube high-pressure gas design with external hose-mounted reservoir
• 36mm internal piston diameter for precise, responsive damping
• 14mm piston rod for added rigidity and durability
• Adjustable spring preload to suit rider weight and load
• Adjustable single-speed rebound damping for fine-tuned suspension response
• Adjustable single-speed compression damping for optimized bump absorption
• 265mm overall length with 50mm stroke
• Spring rate: 100 N/mm
• Öhlins nitrogen pressurized system for temperature-stable performance

The Öhlins YA 229 is a direct-fit performance shock absorber that replaces the OEM unit, delivering the world-renowned Öhlins ride quality with full tunability. Part number cross-reference: YA 229 / S36HR1C1.
