URO 996-424-147-00 Shift Cable Ball Socket

The URO Parts 996-424-147-00 is a replacement shift cable ball socket designed to restore smooth, precise gear selection. This small but critical component serves as the connecting link between the shift cable and the transmission or shifter assembly, allowing the cable to articulate freely while transmitting driver input accurately.

Over time, the original plastic or nylon ball socket can wear, crack, or pop free from its seat—resulting in a loose, sloppy shifter feel or a complete loss of gear engagement. Replacing the ball socket is a straightforward, cost-effective repair that can restore factory-level shift quality without replacing the entire shift cable.

Key Features:

• Direct OEM replacement for the original shift cable ball socket
• Engineered to match original equipment dimensions and fitment
• Restores precise, positive gear engagement
• Durable construction to resist wear and cracking
